The short story
- Your progress and settings are saved in your own browser.
- On plumbit.web.app you can turn on an optional cloud save. Your email is never stored online, only a one-way code made from it.
- The game has no tracking, no analytics and no ads of its own. On Poki, ads and cookies are run by Poki.
What the game saves
The game saves two things in your browser's local storage, so you can carry on where you left off:
- Your progress in up to 3 save slots: levels unlocked, items and skins, shards, upgrades, play time and in-game counters such as deaths.
- Your settings: music volume, sound volume, screen shake and the timer.
This data stays on your device and contains no name or account. If your browser blocks storage (for example in a private window), the game still works but your progress is not kept.
Cloud save
OPTIONAL Only on plumbit.web.app. The game offers to keep your progress online, so the same adventure works on any device. You can skip it and play with a save on this device only.
- If you type your email, the game turns it into a one-way code (a SHA-256 hash) right in your browser.
- Your save (the same progress data listed above) is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) under that code.
- Your email itself is never sent or stored online. It is only remembered in your own browser.
- The code cannot be turned back into your email. The save is used only to bring your progress back.
The Poki version of the game has no cloud save.
What the game does not collect
The game itself does not:
- ask for your name, age or a password (the email for cloud save is optional and never stored online)
- use cookies or analytics of its own
- track you across websites
- use your location, camera or microphone
- sell or share any data with anyone
Ads and Poki
When you play Plumbit on Poki, the website, the ads and the cookies are run by Poki, not by the game. Poki uses cookies to track page visits and game performance and to show ads, and your IP address to pick your local version of the site.
All of that is covered by the Poki Privacy Center. You can change your cookie choices there. For questions about Poki's data, contact Poki at privacy@poki.com.
Children
Plumbit is made for players of all ages. The game never asks for a name, age or password, and the cloud save keeps only a one-way code, never the email itself. Age rules for ads and cookies on Poki are set by Poki.
Deleting your data
Your save lives in your browser, so you are in full control of it. To delete it, clear the site data (cookies and site storage) for the website where you play, in your browser's settings. This removes all save slots and settings for good.
If you used the cloud save and want it deleted, email the address below from the email you saved with. Your cloud save will be removed.
